Skin Troubles? Dry skin, acne, boils, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, allergies-hives, cold sores, shingles, sunburn and many others is a way your body is trying to tell you something. Impurities in the body trying to be eliminated through the skin. One of the manifestations of acidosis. What's acidosis you ask. It is a toxic condition of the body, usually the result of the retention of waste and corrupt matter in the colon (even if you say you don't have any issues with poop, yes you can giggle, I said poop), the basic result of a diet consisting mainly concentrated starches, sugars and overconsumption of meat and dairy. Acidosis may also result from mental disturbances such as resentment, worry, anger, fear, jealousy, frustration and so on. Some of us won't openly admit to any of these, and that's ok, it's fear of judgement creeping in. None of those emotions make us weaker, only our inability to accept, admit, learn and heal from there on.
The first thing to do is to learn to relax and have a well-balanced mind. For skin problems-please refrain from using ointments, salves and drugs of any kind. Use the natural method of juicing and eating nutrient rich diet to remove the cause of your skin issues.
Food for Thought:
1. Get rid of all kinds of Fear from your life, it's only hurting you. Fear can't heal your body, no matter what healing looks like for you.
2. Make Food Part of Your Healing-choose foods that are alive, fresh, whole. Please stop eating the same food every day and expect different results. I know it's hard, but change is good, start slow. We are not here to see who can run the fastest. How is what you are eating day after day making your feel physically, emotionally? Ask yourself this question: "Is the food I am eating and feeding my family giving them health and happiness or is it contributing to moodiness, anger, frustration, illness? But it's quick and convenient you say, but at what cost? Are we going to go through the rest of our lives by simply telling ourselves that or are we going to finally wake up and do something about it? Nobody can force you, but I bet you don't want your kids to have a rash or acne because as an adult you know how devastating it can be.
3. Lead by example-is your phone on the table when you eat with your family, pray with your family, spend time with your family?
4. Enjoy Your Meal and Family Time-listen, hear, engage, make it a positive experience with your family and your food. Ever wonder when you eat a healthy meal in a rush and while under stress because you missed a work deadline or running late for a meeting and you experience a dull headache or stomachache right after lunch, that's why. Your gut will thank you if you slow down and make every minute of your family or work meal count.
5. Chew slowly-it's that simple. There are no teeth inside your gut. It works hard as it is from making hydrochloric acid to enzymes to process everything that was in your salad or a burger that you consumed at lunch time, from fats to starches to carbs.
6. Resolve Trauma-Negative Memories-Stress-let go of negative memories and feelings (conscious and unconscious) that come with it. Let Go of trying to be in control of situations and others-take the first step to make a phone call, speak, see a friend, open the door, whichever door it is for you.
7. Incorporate Dry Skin Brushing at least once a day to help remove the impurities and dead skin, open up the clogged pores. Use a small amount of castile soap, a dime size watered down. Wash your face and body with the same soap and rinse off. We suggest investing in a good water filter for your shower. What goes in and on your body ends up in various tissues and organs.
8. Fresh Air -each and every day. As the sun rises and falls, go outside, take a deep breath in, fill your lungs with fresh crisp air and name one thing you are grateful for that day, that minute.

Discover what a difference food can make in your skin. Stop trying to mask or cover up your skin, that's not getting to the root cause of your problem. Your skin wants and needs to breath just like you.

9. Sleep-Listen to music that you truly enjoy. That means turn off your cell phone and TV and listen to the sound of healing.

10. Try the following Juice Recipes for Healthy Skin. Try alternating between juices and eyeball the amount of ingredients, you are not going to mess this up. Start slow with 4-6 ounces per day or even a size of a shot glass and work your way up to at least 16-32 ounces per day. Eat foods that are alive and vibrant with color and taste, and don't forget water. Your blood is the river of your life. The cleaner it is, the better it is for the overall environment--your body. Consider green smoothies if consuming lots of vegetables and fruit is not your thing.
