Importance of Lymphatic System Stimulation and Drainage

Our Lymphatic system plays an important role in our body and our attempts to heal ourselves. It is our drain system, protects the body from infections, bacteria, cancer cells and helps keep the fluid levels balanced.

It is made up of blood vessels, lymph nodes that carry fluid from the tissues around the body to the blood back and forth.

This system carries something called lymph which is a clear and watery fluid that stores our white blood cells that help the body fight infection and disease.

Lymph nodes are close to major arteries. The lymphatic system and the circulatory systems rely on each other for proper function and distribution of several processes in the body.

Immune system cells are made within the lymph nodes which are important for fighting infections and help heal wounds.

The lymph nodes detect when something enters the body that is not supposed to be there and prompts production of lymphocytes which are infection fighting white cells.

When the lymphatic system is overstressed, and overburdened, you can experience things like: arthritis, lymphedema, fatigue, more frequent colds and sore throat, swelling that you can physically feel in the neck, groin and armpits, swelling around the face and body, as well as dull skin.

If you are suffering from lymphedema which is an abnormal accumulation of lymphatic fluid often from surgery or some sort of trauma, post-surgical recovery can slow down the lymphatic system and can lead to swelling and pain further delaying recovery.

Conditions such as fibromyalgia and arthritis or psoriasis constantly keep the immune system and inflammation active.

Gentle lymphatic movement with dry skin brushing and physical movement along with application of the Rowe Casa Organics Lymphatic cream has shown to improve drainage and reduce and eliminate pain, swelling and improve joint mobility.

If you are physically active, lymphatic stimulation/drainage helps reduce muscle soreness and recovery by helping remove metabolic waste products and excess fluid from muscles, hence reducing post-exercise muscle soreness, it helps improve oxygen and nutrients absorption.

Proper diet full of fiber and nutrient rich, adequate sleep, physical movement, daily exposure to light and stress reduction, addressing any unresolved trauma, addressing hormone disbalance are all equally important in supporting your healing efforts. All these require a great deal of energy.

Incorporating dry skin brushing as well as application of lymphatic cream helps speed up the healing when you are trying to heal from a cold, flu, infections or wounds.

If you are experiencing a cold or flu, it helps drain sinuses and clear ear fluid congestion. It helps reduce the puffiness and swelling around the face. It can helps reduce and eliminate acne. Allows for improved oxygen and nutrient absorption. It can also help decrease and eliminate body odor by helping flush the metabolic toxic waste from the body, hence reduced tension and inflammation in the body. Helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite.
